Town Election Races (Spring 2010) Set for Candidates
Town Elections to be held this coming May feature three contested races: Planning Board, Housing Authority, and Trustees of the Public Library.
Below is a listing of all the elected positions up for grabs this spring, with contested races listed first. This information corrects the Westborough News which incorrectly reported that four slots were available for the Trustees of the Public Library -- instead, only three openings up for election.

PLANNING BOARD (5 year term) – 1 slot; 3 candidates
- Wesley H. Buckalew, 5 Emery Road
- Lester Hensley, 39 Arch Street
Not running for re-election is incumbent Planning Board member Edward J. Newton, Jr., 45 Summer Street.
LIBRARY TRUSTEES (3 year term) – 3 slots; 4 candidates
- Miriam P. Cronin, 4 Weld Street
- Helena K. Engberg, 14 Adams Street. Incumbent
- Karen D. Griegal, 15 Belknap Street. Incumbent
- Geralyn A. Kohler, 8 Fox Lane
Not running for re-election is incumbent Library Trustee Michael D. Grim, 6 Longmeadow Road.
WESTBOROUGH HOUSING AUTHORITY (5 year term)– 1 slot; 2 candidates
- Charles E. Naples, 36 Ruggles
- Joan B. Pavolis, 6 Spring Street, Incumbent
BOARD OF SELECTMEN (3 year term) – 2 slots; no opposing candidates
- Leigh Emery, 5 Emery Road. Incumbent
- Timothy A. Dodd, 11 Phylmor Drive. Incumbent
SCHOOL COMMITTEE (3 year term) – 2 slots; no opposing candidates
- Bruce Tretter, 55 Flanders Road. Incumbent
