Blown Electical Transformer on Fisher St.
[received 11:01am 17-Sep-2010; please note the contact invitation is intended for parents of students at Gibbons - webmaster]
Good Morning,
This is a Connect-Ed message from Jack Foley, Interim Principal of Gibbons Middle School.
Earlier this morning a several teachers heard a loud noise and saw a bright flash of light. We immediately contacted the Westborough Police Department and initiated our preliminary safety response protocols. WPD quickly responded, investigating both the trails behind the school and the utility poles adjacent to the school. Fortunately, National Grid was in the area and confirmed that a squirrel was responsible for the blown fuse on the utility pole at the intersection of Gary Circle and Fisher St. I am pleased to report that this incident did not interrupt classes or instructional time.
Should you have any questions regarding this incident please contact me directly at Gibbons Middle School at 508-836-7740.
John E. Foley
Interim Principal
Gibbons Middle School
