This past Saturday, January 3rd, hundreds of Centrall Massachusetts Girl Scouts gathered at the Auburn Mall to participate in the annual Girl Scout cookie sale kick-off. This year, there are eight varieties of cookies, being sold at three dollars and fifty cents a box. They are Caramel deLites, Peanut Butter Patties, Shortbread, Thin Mints, Peanut Butter Sandwich, Thanks-A-Lot, Lemonades, and Reduced Fat Daisy Go Rounds. Westborough Girl Scouts will be conducting door to door sales from January 3rd to February 20th. The cash and carry booth sales will run from January 17th to MArch 15th at various locations around town. If you would like to order cookies, please contact Julie Baldwin at 508-366-9463.
Several troops will participate in the sending of cookies to military personnel overseas and in veteran hospitals for the third year. Donations may be purchased and made at the booth sales over the next three months.
All profits from the Westborough cookie sales directly benefit the 28 troops of Westborough. The troops will use the money raised to help fund overnight trips, purchase supplies for troop activities, and participate in the town encampment this May. The Girl Scouts thank you for your continued support of the cookie sale.
