Over the last few months, the 28 Westborough Girl Scout troops have been working on an abundance of community service projects and badges.
Girl Scout troop 30511 had a birthday celebration for Juliette Gordon Low, founder of Girl Scouts. The troop members also attended a performance of the Nutcracker during the holiday season. They participated with many other troops in the making of placemats for the Westborough Interfaith Community dinner for the elderly and those homebound. The members of the troop are Annie Beckman, Kayla Beckman, Sophia Bajenaru, Madison Callender, Julie Carrier, Sarah Carrier, Caroline Davis, Audrey Didier, Sarah Kline, Kalina McNeil, Cassidy Sams and Ellie Sams.
Girl Scout troop 30633 has completed the requirements for the Eco Action badge. For one of the requirements, George Thompson, chair of the Board of Selectman, spoke on noise ordinances and town laws. The girls are planning an overnight at Camp Laurel Wood in Spencer. The members of the troop are Amanda Borglund, Amanda Hughes, Cassie Eaton, Morgan Molloy, Catherine Hastings, Courtney Swenson, and Leah Garber.
Westborough Girl Scouts are currently selling Girl Scout cookies through February 22nd. Cash and carry booth sales will run January 15 to March 15.
