Know Thyself: Do You Have What It Takes To Start A Business?

The dictum "know thyself" written on the wall of the Apollo temple at Delphi is as wise today as it was 2,500 years ago. It is also relevant if you are considering launching a successful business. But how do you know if you have what it takes? What are some telltale signs that you’re prepared to venture out into the world of entrepreneurship? Richard Mammone, Ph.D., a Rutgers University professor in the Business School and the School of Engineering, suggests you should first take a full accounting of your strengths and weaknesses before you get started. Read more about the role of self-analysis in successful startups in Mammone’s article, adapted from BusinessWeek.com, at http://www.fairfaxcountyeda.org/new-england-tech-wire
