The Westborough Youth Commission is seeking two youth members for next school year; a high school senior to serve one school year, and a high school junior to serve two school years, from September through June. Youth Members of the Youth Commission would attend monthly meetings, usually held on the second Monday at 7:30 pm and provide a youth perspective on programs and policies being developed by the Youth Commission and Westborough Youth and Family Services. This is a terrific community service opportunity to take a leadership role in the development of youth related programming for Westborough Youth and to learn about the operation of town government. Letters of interest should be sent to Westborough Youth and Family Services, 34 West Main Street by May 29, 2009. The Youth Commission is a five member volunteer board, appointed by the Board of Selectmen to advocate for the needs of the youths and families of Westborough. It meets monthly with the Director of Westborough Youth and Family Services to guide the direction of the department.
