LabCorp Enters into Definitive Agreement to Acquire Genzyme Genetics
BURLINGTON, N.C., Sep 13, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Laboratory Corporation of America(R) Holdings (LabCorp(R)) (NYSE: LH), today announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement under which LabCorp will acquire Genzyme Genetics, a business unit of Genzyme Corp. (NASDAQ: GENZ), in an all cash transaction valued at $925 million. Net of expected income tax benefits, less acquisition-related expenses, the acquisition has a net cash cost to LabCorp of approximately $795 million.

Westborough Girl Scout Open Registration Fall 2010
WESTBOROUGH GIRL SCOUT OPEN REGISTRATION
The Westborough Girl Scouts will have open registration on Sunday, September 12. It will be held at 6 p.m. at the Evangelical Congregational Church, West Main Street.
This information session is for parents and guardians only.
Registration fee is twelve dollars for girls and adults. Troop placement is dependent on available leadership. Adult volunteers will be registered that evening as well.
Westborough Girl Scouts has over three hundred girls in twenty-nine troops for all grades. Girls can be involved in many different new Pathways in the new programming model. Troops meet twice monthly and participate in service unit activities. Volunteer training is available through the Girl Scouts of Central and Western Massachusetts.

3rd Annual Westborough Scouting Day - Sat. Sept. 11, 9-12pm Tufts Machine

WESTBOROUGH SCOUTING DAY SEPTEMBER 11
The third annual Westborough Scouting Day will be held on Saturday, September 11th. It will be held at the Tufts Machine Lot, East Main Street from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Venture Crew and Explorer Post 85 will be on hand with demonstrations, exhibits and hands on activities. Registration for Cub |Scouts and Boy Scouts will be accepted at the event. For information call Paul at 508-898-9576.
Girl Scout registration will be held on Sunday, September 12 at 6 p.m. It will be held at the Evangelical Congregational Church, West Main Street. Girl Scout troops are for girls in grades kindergarten to twelfth grade. For information on Westborough Girl Scouts please call Judy at 508-870-1895.
The event allows the community to come ask questions of girls, boys and adults involved in all of the programs.
