On 4/7/10, at approximately 4:45 PM, the Westborough Police responded to the intersection of Adams Street and Mountainview Drive for a report of suspicious activity. The report was for a male who was operating a dark colored sedan with dark tinted windows. The operator was in his 30’s, white male, muscular with a goatee.
The reporting party was a 14 year old female who was walking her dog. The vehicle stopped and the operator asked the girl her name and then stated he was looking for his friend’s house but couldn’t find it. He then asked the girl to get in the car to help him look. The girl knew this was strange and backed away from the vehicle. She then walked home and reported it to her parents.
Anyone with information in regards to this incident is urged to call the Westborough Police Department at 508-366-3060.
WBZ and Fox News report Boys Varsity Lacrosse Coach Suspended
This evening, WBZ and Fox News reported that the Varsity Boys Lacrosse coach, Frank Arena, had been suspended.
It's alleged that he "fired lacrosse balls on the players to punish them" for the recent 14-1 loss to Nashoba at this past Tuesday's game.

Police ask for info regarding 'suspicious activity' or similar incidents

Good Evening,
We are calling for the Westborough Police Department to inform you of a suspicious incident that occurred at approximately 5:45 PM at the corner of Adams Street and Mountain View Drive. A fourteen year old girl, who was walking her dog, was approached by a black midsized sedan with tinted windows. The operator of the vehicle was described as being approximately 30 years old, bald, with a goatee, wearing a white tee shirt. He pulled up to the girl, told her that he was lost and needed directions. He asked for her name and then asked her to get in his vehicle to help him locate his friend's house. She backed away from the vehicle. At the same time, another vehicle approached the area, the driver of the black sedan turned around and left the area on Adams Street towards Ruggles Street.

Fuel Assistance Program still open for applications until April 30, 2010
IT’S NOT TOO LATE TO APPLY
We are still taking applications for the SMOC Fuel Assistance program until April 30. If you have struggled to pay your heating bills this winter, consider calling to apply for assistance. Bills will be paid back to November 1, 2009. Don’t have those bills hanging over you all summer. Call the Senior Center today to get your application packet. When you have all of your information together, it takes ten minutes to fill out the application. And, we can make copies at the Senior Center.
For a single person, your income should be under $29,126 and for a couple, under $38,087 to qualify for assistance.
